The Moonshadow Musical is coming. In recent weeks Yusuf has been in the studio working on the Moonshadow concept album.

With 14 classic songs, the album will include such major hits as 'Wild World', 'Father & Son', 'If You Want To Sing Out' and many others.

The actor-singers featured on the recording are the same chosen to star in Yusuf's upcoming 'Guess I'll Take My Time' tour.

One special jewel of the sessions so far is a beautiful rearrangement of Yusuf's first big hit, 'Matthew & Son', sung by Moonshadow actor Ryan O'Donnell.

You may be hearing this as a single before the end of the year...

Diese beiden Kinder sind die Hauptakteure im Musical, Yusuf und seine Produzenten haben die Kinder nach langem Suchen, gewählt. Er wird Ausschnitte des Musicals in seinen Konzerten spielen.



Moonshadow Actors

After a long search, the producers of Moonshadow have discovered a talented and dynamic cast to play the tour version of Yusuf’s musical, which will be premiered during his forthcoming concerts.

Two bright child actors have been selected to play the parts of the young lead, Stormy, and his childhood school friend, Anees. Connor Panayi and Lauren Ellington were excited to learn they had won roles in this inspiring new musical venture.

Connor has played lead in various television shows including Tonk in ‘Space Pirates’ (CBeebies), ‘Holby City’ as Noah Taylor (BBC), Boris in Disney’s ‘Life Bites’, Josh Winters in ‘Doctors’ (BBC) and was most recently in ‘The Legend of Dick & Dom’ as Little Dom. He has also created the roles of ‘Young Sidney’ in the musical ‘Little Tramp’ (MMP) and played the role of Leo Coulston in the Perfect Pitch production of ‘The Go Between’.

Lauren was previously in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, Carousel, at the Savoy Theatre. She sang on the track ‘Somewhere’ on the Rhydian album and performed it on GMTV. She has also been a backing vocalist and dancer on The X Factor. Most recently, she has filmed an educational DVD called ‘The Explorers’.

Yusuf will be weaving excerpts from Moonshadow into his upcoming not-to-be-missed ‘Guess I’ll Take My Time’ tour which opens in Dublin on 15 November before moving on to Birmingham, Liverpool and London.

Letzte Vorbereitungen für das Musical

Wahhh Geil da gibt es ja schon ein Bühnenbild, wann startet das Musical eigentlich gibt es da schon einen Termin. Ich konnte bis jetzt noch nichts finden.

Ja das weis ich ja auch aber den genauen vom Start hab ich noch nicht rausbekommen.

Nein, da gibt es auch noch keinen Termin soviel ich weiß. Gabi recherchiert aber auch viel, die weiß auch immer Bescheid, die soll uns dann direkt Bescheid geben, wenn sie was weiß. Gabi schreibt auf seine Homepage auch oft Kommentare, hab ich gesehen.

ich sehe ja Cat am 8.12. dann werde ich ihn fragen wann der Start des Musical`s ist.
Besorge dann auch gleich einige VIP Karten für die Premiere.

Aber mal ganz ehrlich? Denkt Ihr das er mit dem Musical auf Tournee
geht oder wird es nur in London sein?
Ich habe da leider auch noch nichts drüber gelesen.

Denke eher das es ein London typisches Musikal bleib und nicht auf Tourne geht ausser es wird auf lange sicht ein großer Erfolg so wie Mamamia aber das kann ich mir jetzt nicht so vorstellen.

Ich glaub auch eher, dass es in London fest läuft, weiß net, ob es auch auswärts gespielt wird, ich denke auch, eher nicht.

@Uwe, ja frag du Yusuf mal schön, ich wünsche dir viel Erfolg. Bei Jzero und mir hat es net geklappt.
